When I was diagnosed with Endometriosis, the first thing that occurred was the crumbling of my world. After I managed to gather my thoughts and emotions, I went to the doctor and asked as many questions as I could to figure out the best way to cope with this.
After much proving and several years of actually doing what the doctor recommended, here are my five ways to help you cope with Endometriosis.
Exercise – Whether it is through running, lifting weights or shaking what you got – find a way to be active and STICK TO IT. That’s the most important part of all this, you have to stick to being active no matter what. No matter how cold it is or how good that Netflix show is.
Nap when you need it – Life can be hectic, and it’s even more hectic with Endo. So if you feel the need to slow down and get some shuteye, LISTEN TO YOUR BODY. It’s trying to tell you something, so listen.
Eat 3 Healthy Meals A Day – Find something nutritious, wholesome and eat it in moderate portions. Make sure you enjoy what you’re eating too, else you will be face deep in a tub of ice cream before you know it.
Enjoy YourSelf When You Can – When you are feeling up to it, continue living life like you normally would. Continue those hobbies you thought you couldn’t do because of Endo. Go dancing, go jogging, finish sewing that scarf.
Spend Time With Friends – Endo is physically taxing but it also emotionally draining. Be sure to hang out with friends and family and remind yourself of the better things in life.
I hope these things help you like they helped me.
